Our Charities

At TK Maxx we like to give something back, savings to you and a helping hand to a few charities close to our heart.

We’ve supported people like the Woodland Trust since 2004 and NCH, the children’s charity, where money raised goes to local charities. Since then we’ve added a few more, Cancer Research UK, Comic Relief and Enable Ireland among others. Over the years we’ve helped raise over £3 million for Comic Relief alone, while we’ve raised well over a million for our other causes too.

Comic Relief

Comic Relief raises money to help people suffering poverty or social injustice in the UK and Africa.

2007 is our second time working with Comic Relief, selling the exclusive Red Nose Day T-shirts. And thanks to your support buying our ‘I love RND 07’ t-shirts and our associates crazy antics, we’ve managed to double the amount we raised last time to an amazing £2,000,000.

GiveGet

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to research on the causes, treatments and prevention of cancer. More and more people are surviving cancer, but it could be even more with the help of the money raised by our bi-annual GiveGet. Last time we raised an incredible £2.5 million worth of stock for the Cancer Research UK shops. It was one of the biggest charity clothing collections ever.

Woodland Trust

Walking in the woods is one of the loveliest things you can do which is why we are committed to helping the Woodland Trust continue to protect and restore our native woods. We also back their ‘tree for all’ campaign aiming to inspire 1 million children to plant 12 million trees. Trees are our future, just think of all that lovely oxygen.

NCH

The NCH is the children’s charity to help excluded children and young people who face poverty, disability and abuse. Their aim is to help them reach their full potential. With over 500 projects supporting over 160,000 people, every one of our stores has a direct link to their local NCH project, so whatever money is raised goes to help local disadvantaged kids.

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice

Children with life limiting and threatening illness need a lot of care and attention, not forgetting their families too. The Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice does just that, offering them the best quality of life they can and support for family members. Money from TK Maxx has helped build this fantastic hospice, and we continue to help with the day-to-day running costs.
